RedTail Men’s Soccer Ties 1-1

The RedTails record is now 5-2-1, adding the tie from the match at Iowa Lakes on Wednesday, September 20.

Francis Motsi with the Lakers, made the first score and the RedTails received two yellow cards in the first period. RedTails came into the second period with full force and tables turned with Magnus Jensen scoring the RedTails only point of the game assisted by Anders Lauridsen. The Lakers received two yellow cards in the second period. Overall both teams played good offense and defense in this game and it was a good match up.

Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after Wednesday's game.

"Today the guys got back to their identity of being hard working, passionate, and committed," he said. "We went away from our values last week and have been working extremely hard in the past days to get back on track and respond to Saturday's disappointment. There are a lot of positive changes happening in this program but we don't want to rest, we want to keep pushing for the team and our culture to grow." He said "I hope today's performance gives the guys confidence that working hard and being passionate about what you do can bring you closer as a team, but also help us get a good result on the road to the number three team in the country."

The RedTails next match is against Northeast on Saturday, September 22, and is set to start at 1:30pm, weather permitting.
