NIACC falls to Lakers, 93-75
- Helming records 13th double/double
- Hackett scores 15 off bench
- Trojans close regular season at DMACC
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 93-75 decision to Iowa Lakes on Saturday in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym.
Iowa Lakes led 45-36 at the half and the Lakers outscored the Trojans 48-39 in the second 20 minutes.
Iowa Lakes was led by Benard Omooria with 21 points. Jaeden Jefferson was next in line for the Lakers with 19 points off the bench.
NIACC was led by Wyatt Helming with 20 points and 14 rebounds. It was Helming's 13th double/double of the season.
Also for the Trojans, Adam Hackett came off the bench to score 15 points. Omarion Roberts scored 12 points and James Jennings also reached double figures with 10 points.
NIACC (9-19 overall, 3-14 in the ICCAC) closes out its regular season at DMACC on Wednesday. Game time in Boone is slated for 7:30 p.m.
