HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head softball coach Iris Woodhead on the duel with the Lakers:
"Iowa Lakes had a few big hits that hurt," Woodhead said. "The girls fought well to the end and didn't give up. I'm very proud of them for that!"
Woodhead on what she will remember about this team:
"Our sophomores mean a lot to our softball program and to Northeast Community College," Woodhead said. "I thought our effort and commitment was unwavering in a year that surely had its ups and downs. I'm so proud of the growth they have made over the last two years and can't wait to hear and see what they will do next. We will really miss them next year, but I know they are going to continue to be outstanding students, community members and women."
