Iowa Lakes Basketball Host Iowa Central Tritons

Estherville, Iowa – Wednesday, February 22, 2017 

Iowa Lakes Basketball will play Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) Tritons on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 7:30 PM.  

Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball is looking for the sweep on the season against the Tritons.  The Lakers had 5 players in double digits.  Kyle Beisch led the Lakers with 21 points and 7 rebounds.  Cody Cox had 17 points.  Dennis Joiner, Jaylon Tapplar, and Mitch Keller had 14, 11, and 10 points respectively.  The Lakers defeated Iowa Central 92-61.

Currently, the Lakers are 18-7 overall and 5-3 in ICCAC conference play.  They are on a 5 game win streak with their latest victory against Little Priest Tribal College, 88-73.  The Lakers are looking to extend their home record to 10-1 this season. 

 The Tritons are led by point guard Tray Croft.  He is averaging 23.3 points per game and 4.7 assists per game.  Prince Moss will also be a player to look out for.  He scored 26 points against the Lakers the first time around.

 Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball will host Iowa Central Community College. Sophomore Lauryn Smith is leading the Lakers with 11.9 ppg.  Freshman Mia Wassink is averaging 11.8 ppg and 9.2 rebound per game (RPG).  Fellow freshman Lemia Ntor-Ue is averaging 10 ppg and 6.2 rpg.  They will tip off at 5:30 PM.
