Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball will return home to face ICCAC Division 1 opponent Iowa Western on Saturday, December 16th, at 7:30 PM.  The Lakers are currently 9-4 with a loss on the road to Marshalltown 74-84.

Kyle Beisch recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Three other Lakers contributed 10 or more points against the Wildcats.  Nick Wagner added 20 points, Jacob Rau scored 12, and Streeter McIlravy had 10 points.

The Lakers are 6th in the nation in scoring with 96.2 points per game, which is helped by their ability to shoot from the 3-point line.  They are shooting 42.5% from the arc, which is ranked 4th in the nation.  The Lakers have 3 players shooting above 40% from the 3 point line.  Kyle Beisch, Streeter McIlravy, and Nick Wagner are shooting 46.6%, 45.5%, and 42.4% from the arc.  Kyle Beisch is averaging 17.8 points per game this season.  He is accompanied by 4 other Lakers in scoring more than 10 points per game.  Nick Wagner, Solomon Clayton, Jacob Rau, and Streeter McIlravy are averaging 16.2, 11.9, 10.8, and 10.7 points per game.

The Reivers will be 14-2 and ranked 22nd overall entering the game against Iowa Lakes.  The Reivers are outscoring their opponents by 21 points this season.  #13 Patrick Dembley is averaging 20.7 points per game and shooting 38.9% from the arc.  Jevon Smith, Isaiah Wade, and Decardo Day are averaging 12.3, 12.1, and 10.8 points per game for Iowa Western.  When asked about Iowa Western, Head Coach Troy Larson stated "Our guys are excited to be back at it after the loss at Marshalltown. Iowa Western is the most talented team we have seen this year. They have numerous NCAA Division 1 players on the floor. They are extremely athletic, very big, and have skilled players. It should be a very good college basketball game."

Iowa Lakes will tip off against Iowa Western Reivers (14-2) on Saturday, December 16th, at 7:30 PM. Last year, the Lakers defeated the Reivers on the road 77-74.
