The 20th ranked Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team will open the 2018 season this Thursday, November 1st against Northwestern JV at home at 7:30 PM. The Lakers wrapped up the preseason with their last exhibition game against the Laker Alumni. Coach Larson stated that "we had a strong finish to the preseason and am looking forward to starting off the 2018 season in front of our home crowd."
In last year's contest, the Lakers defeated the Red Raiders 110-89. Sophomore, Solomon Clayton had 14 points and shot six for eight from the field. Fellow sophomore big finished the night against the Red Raiders with 10 points. The Lakers shot 55% from the field and 90% from beyond the arc.
The Laker Women Basketball will tip off at 5:30 PM at home to open their 2018-2019 season.
