The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference honored 5 Iowa Lakes Men's basketball players this past week by naming them to their Academic All-Regions teams. Being named to the Academic All-Region 1st Team were Jacob Rau, Noah Heifner, Ryan Girardi, and Trevor Friesner. To be named to the Academic All-Region 1st team you had to have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Alan Kikwaki was named to the Academic All-Region 2nd Team. To be named to the Academic All-Region 2nd team you had to have a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.
"Thats a great accomplishment for those young men and it shows how hard they worked in the classroom." Said Laker Men's Head Coach Troy Larson.
