Lakers beat Central

Norfolk, Nebraska- The Iowa Lakes Men's basketball team pushed their winning streak to 3 games and are now 3-2 after they defeated Central Nebraska 92-78.

The Lakers who trailed at half time 46-40. Were led by Keshawn Pegues with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Malcolm Clayton added 26 points as well. Also scoring in double figures for the Lakers was Justin Brookens with 20 points, and Kevin Cook with 15.

Central was led by Tre Mikkelsen with 20 points.

"We played well for the first 10 minutes against Northeast and the last 10 minutes against Central and were able to walk away with 2 wins on the weekend." Said Lakers Head Coach Troy Larson.

Iowa Lakes will now travel to Marshalltown on Friday to take part in the Emerson Classic. They will play NJCAA Division 1 Independence on Friday at 3 pm. They will then play John Wood Community College on Saturday. Tip for that game will also be at 3pm.
