The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team moved to 5-3 on the season with an 83-79 win over 5th ranked Kirkwood.
The Lakers were led by Kevin Cook with 26 points. Cook also added 9 rebounds. Xzavier Jones added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Kirkwood was led by Corvon Seales with 18 points.
Iowa Lakes Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game. " Our guys competed in the second half defensively, and that allowed us to win the game.
Iowa Lakes will host Iowa Western on Wednesday at 7 pm. Iowa Western won their previous meeting 99-87 in the first game of the year.
