The NJCAA 11th ranked Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team pushed their win streak to 5 games and moved to 7-3 on the season with a 90-87 win over Southwestern.

Iowa Lakes was led by Dillon Carlson with 26 points. Carlson knocked down 7 threes in the contest.  Xzavier Jones added 18 points and 5 rebounds. Caleb Johnson added 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, and Ryan Hall had 14 points.

Southwestern was led by Donzell Johnson with 23 points.

Iowa Lakes had their best offensive second half of the season shooting 58% from the floor. The Lakers also had another solid night rebounding the ball. Out rebounding Southwestern 39 to 26.

Iowa Lakes Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game. "Our guys came out in the second have a poor start and play with a great pace on the offensive which allowed us to get in a rhythm and make shots in the second half. I'm proud of our guys with how they responded against a good team on the road."

Iowa Lakes will travel to Mason City, Iowa on Thursday to take on NIACC. Tip will be at 7pm. It will be the first meeting between the teams this season.
