Estherville , IA - The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team fell in their first game of the season to North Dakota State College of Science 81-80. 

The Lakers were led by Ryan Hall with 22 points. Johnathan Oden added 14 and Xzavier Jones and Caleb Johnson each had 11. Oden led the Lakers in rebounds with 8.

College of Science was led by Connor Hollenbeck with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game. "We have to a better job down the stretch and make winning play's when it is time to put teams away. We will watch film and we will learn from it and hopefully play better next time out."

Iowa Lakes will travel to Beatrice, NE to take on Southeast Nebraska on Saturday. Tip for that game will be at 2pm.
