Lakers win 73-66

Estherville, IA-  The Iowa Lakes men's basketball team had a bounce back victory with a 73-66 win at Southeast Nebraska. With the win Iowa Lakes is now 1-1.

The Lakers were led by Ryan Hall with 18 points. Caleb Johnson added 15 points and 15 assists, Joseph Owens add 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Johnathan Oden added 11 points. 

Southeast was led by Maijhe Wiley with 14 points.

Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game. "We could have played better today, we didn't get off to a good start and allowed them to score whenever they wanted to in the first half. We did a better job defensively in the second half and made some of the rotations we were supposed to make in the first half. We had a better flow offensively in the second half and we did a good job in the second half on the glass as well."

The Lakers will travel to Overland Park, KS next weekend to compete in the Johnson County Classic. They will play Johnson County Friday night at 7pm and Highland Kansas on Saturday at 2pm.
