Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team knocked off Northeast Nebraska 96-69 to move to 12-5 overall and 4-2 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.
The Lakers were led by Caleb Johnson with 20 points. Other Lakers scoring double figures were Johnathan Oden with 13, Ozzie Meiborg with 12, Andrew Bennett with 11, and Xzavier Jones with 10. Oden led the team in rebounding with 7.
Northeast was led by Evan Decker with 17 points.
"We got off to a slow start offensively but guarded pretty hard. In the second half we were able to maintain the intensity defensively and then get into a flow offensively, which allowed us to stretch our lead," said Laker Head Coach Troy Larson.
The Lakers will return to action Thursday night at NJCAA 7th ranked Iowa Western. The tip for that game will be at 7:30.
