The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Region XI tournament with a 65-55 win over Southwestern. With the win the Lakers move to 21-9 on the season and will take on DMACC in the semifinals Sunday at 5pm in Mason City on the campus of North Iowa Community College.
The Lakers were led by Caleb Johnson with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Ryan Hall added 13 points. Xzavier Jones led them in rebounding with 11.
Southwestern was led by Teon Thomas with 10 points.
"I am proud of our guys tonight. We didn't play very good for the first 32 minutes of the game. We fought through that adversity and made some plays late to pull away." Said Laker Head Men's Basketball Coach Troy Larson.
