The 15th ranked Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team knocked off 5th ranked Ellsworth with a 81-69 win. The Lakers moved to 12-4 on the year and 4-2 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.
The Lakers were led by Kai Evan with 22 points and 13 rebounds, Blake Kooiman added 17 points, Sam West had 15, and Benard Omooria added 11.
Ellsworth was led by Clifton Efinda with 22 points.
Laker Head Men's Basketball Coach Jason McKinney had this to say about the game. " I am really proud of our guy's effort tonight. We played with great life and energy right from the start of the game. We got off to a really good start. We defended and we rebounded the ball really well."
The Lakers will host NIACC on Saturday. The tip for that game will be at 3pm.
