The Iowa Lakes Golf Team was in action during the Region 11 Fall Preview held at Veenker Memorial Golf Tournament in Ames.

On the Women's side Callan Hinn shot a 120 to finish 8th individually.

On the Men's side the Lakers finished 7th for their first team and 9th for their second team. For the first team Jordan Henry led the way with a 79, Eric Chambers shot an 81, Jack Brashear fired an 83, and Jacob Baker and Joe Swaine shot 84's. Team total was a 327. The Second team was Connor Anderson with an 84, Hunter Longnecker shot an 88, Hunter King shot an 89. Collin Kemper came in with a 96. Cayle Carney shot a 99. The second teams team score was a 357.

"We just didn't have a good day today. We were short a player due to illness, but we still have to be able to show up and grind out a round. we will get back after it tomorrow and get ready for Saturday. We took a little step back in our road map to success but we will get back on track and be ready to go when we have to be." Said Coach Soper.

Next action for the Lakers will be Saturday September 24th when they play the BV Men's Invite at the Spencer Golf and Country Club.
