Lakers Finish in T-1st at Simpson Invite

Lakers finish in T-1st led by a Baker/Bennett One-Two Punch

The Lakers kept their heads down and grinded out a solid round in some windy conditions at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk, Iowa to conclude day two of the Simpson Spring Invite. Jack Brashear posted a 160 for the two day tournament as an individual with another 80 on the second day.

"It was one of those days where a lot of things could happen in a blink of an eye. The guys started out pretty slow for the first few holes but they grinded out a very good score given the conditions of the day", said Coach Weber. "I am very proud of how they kept their heads down and came in with the low team score of the day. It goes to show that anything can happen and every stroke counts."
Iowa Lakes will tee it up again this Friday in Ames, Iowa at the Region 11 Spring Preview at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course.
