Back to Back Laker Medalists as Team Places 2nd

Carlton Rahn continues the running trend of individual medalist honors with posting a three over par 74 at the Fort Dodge Country Club to take the individual title at the Iowa Central Invite, pacing the team to a second place finish with a 310.

"Another good individual performance this week and it's even better that it came from a different player", said Coach Weber. "Carl has been playing well and putting in some good hours on the range and it is starting to show off. I couldn't be happier that he got a taste of what a win feels like and I hope it turns into more down the road."

The Lakers fell short of a team win with another second place finish with a team score of 310, seven shots behind Iowa Central with a 303. Rounding out the team scores were Sterling McIlravy with a 76, Morgan Edwards with a 78, and Aaron James with an 82. Non counting scores were Jaden Kallhoff with an 84, Connnor Pirtle with an 87, and Josh Petrich with a 94.

"The guys have been working hard this fall and are starting to figure out what it takes to compete at the college level. Slowly but surely they will continue to get better and play with more confidence. The fall season is about figuring out how to compete and become a college player and with this young of a roster I am excited to see how far they go. The guys want to go lower and I know they are capable, it is just a matter of everybody coming together at the same time and turn individual wins into team wins."

The Laker men have a few days off before heading to Lincoln, Nebraska on September 19th and 20th for the Blue River Classic hosted by Doane University.
