The Iowa Lakes men's golf team had a tough time handling the tough playing conditions and tight course at Indianola, coming up short with a seventh place finish at the Simpson Fall Invite. The Lakers posted their highest score of the fall with a 326.

"Today was a very long day for the guys. When playing in tough conditions, everything is amplified, including your frustrations. Hopefully the guys can look back on this round and learn from it, which is the goal in any round, but especially true when you do not play well." said Iowa Lakes golf coach Jarvis Weber when asked about his team's performance today.

Scott Flatebo led the way with an 80, followed quickly by Ben Tibken with an 81, Sam Miller with an 82, Dawson Weber with an 83, and Blake Johnson with an 89. Jake Hemann played as an individual and posted an 81.

"We will recap the round tomorrow after we get some rest and get back to work and be ready for the next event at DMACC."

The Lakers will head down to Ames, IA and play in the DMACC Fall Invite at the Ames Golf and Country Club on October 5th, look to defend their Quad Cup on October 11th at Coldwater Golf Club in Ames, IA.
