The Iowa Lakes Community College men's soccer team traveled to Concordia, Kansas on Wednesday August 23rd to take on #7 ranked Cloud County Community College in their season opener. The Lakers fell short with a 3-1 defeat and will look to bounce back on Thursday August 24th as they take on Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas.

"I am very disappointed with the score line, I know we can play better than that and I'm sure some of our nervous play was due to it being the first game of the season. We can only get better as the season progresses head coach Ben MacRae stated."
