The Lakers were back in action at home while they took on Dakota County in a conference meeting. The Lakers have been very unlucky finding the back of the net this season. Today the Lakers were clinical in front of goal and were able to come away with a comfortable 9-1 victory having six different goal scorers.
Levi Heholt registered a hat trick on the day, while Craig Barker added a pair of great finishes. Charlie Hackshall, Abel Gebrekiros, Antonio Hernandez, and Adam Pritchard all added a goal each for the Lakers. Dakota County's lone goal of the game came from a penalty kick.
"I was delighted by the result and we scored some outstanding goals today. We made some changes to the squad and were able to rest a few of the players ahead of the big game this weekend. A few of the boys did really well and that has given us more competition for places," said Coach Ben MacRae.
The Lakers will next host Marshalltown on Saturday, September 23rd for a conference match-up.
