Lakers lose to Warriors at Home

The Lakers were back in action at home to take on the #6 ranked Indian Hills Warriors. The Lakers knew they were tuned in for a game for a whole 90 minutes. Indian Hills struck first in the 7th minute when the Lakers goalkeeper slipped on a goal kick that went straight to Akean Shackleford who netted it home to go up 1-0 early in the game.

The Lakers had a few chances to get back into the game early but could not find the back of the net. The Warriors ended up winning the game 5-0. Akean Shackleford ended the game with four goals, and Leandro Oshiro added the fifth for the Warriors.

"Indian Hills are without doubt the best team we have played this year, but when you make as many individual mistakes as we did today, it's really hard to win. We have to learn from it and eliminate those mistakes. Focus now turns to another massive game on Wednesday. We will get better!" said Coach Ben MacRae.

The Lakers will next travel to Iowa Central for a conference meeting on Wednesday, October 11th.
