Spencer, IOWA---The Iowa Lakes Men's soccer team defeated Indian Hills CC 2-0 in the Region XI Semifinals.
Freshmen forward Jovanny Brown broke the deadlock in the 44th minute. When he got on the end of a Nicolas Likulia cross and headed the ball into the back of the Indian hills net. The Lakers would extend their lead to 2-0 in the 58th minute when Freshmen Defender Nathan Ndomba, got on the end of a Cameron Weston Corner kick a headed it into the back of the Warriors net.
The Lakers would hold onto the shutout, as National goalkeeper of the week Josh Wilson made 10 saves. The Lakers move onto the Region XI Championship this Saturday at Marshalltown. Kickoff 2pm.
