JOSH WILSON NAMED ICCAC GOALIE OF THE WEEK

SPENCER, IOWA- Sophomore Goalkeeper Josh Wilson was named the ICCAC Athlete of the Week. The Australian native has been great for the Lakers these last two games. The man from down under has only allowed just one goal in 180 minutes, winning 4-1 over Northeastern (Colo.) and shutting out #14 nationally ranked Laramie County 4-0. Josh made nine saves in 10 attempts in the two games.

Wilson has fought hard to get back on the field over the last few months, making a return from a serious leg injury. He has allowed just one goal in 225 minutes this season.

This is Josh's second time receiving this award. Last year as a freshman, Wilson was named ICCAC Goalie for the week of Oct. 8th-14th.

"It's great to have Josh back out on the field, I know he has worked incredibly hard to get healthy again and this award shows it." Head Coach Ben MacRae commented.

"It's been a hard time coming back from injury, but receiving this award makes the hard work worthwhile." -  Josh Wilson, ICCAC Goalie of the Week

The Lakers will host two games in Spencer this weekend. As they welcome undefeated Heartland Community College Saturday, September 14th Kickoff 12pm, and Parkland Community College Sunday, September 15th Kickoff 12pm.
