SPENCER, IOWA- Sophomore Goalkeeper Josh Wilson was named the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for the second straight week in a row. The Australian native has been very solid for the Lakers these last two games. The man from down under has only allowed just two goals in 180 minutes, winning 5-1 undefeated Heartland CC and dominating #9 nationally ranked Parkland CC 6-1. Josh made 12 saves in both games combined. Wilson is second in the ICCAC with a .67 goal averaged against per game rate. In total, he has given up three goals in 405 minutes of soccer.
This is Josh's second time receiving this award in a row this year. Josh also received GOTW last year as a freshman; Wilson was named ICCAC Goalie for the week of Oct. 8th-14th.
The Lakers will host two games in Spencer this week. As they start conference play welcoming Northeast CC on Wednesday, September 18th, 3pm kickoff. And defending ICCAC Champion Marshalltown Saturday, September 21st Kickoff 3pm..
