Lakers Draw 1-1 with Indian Hills

(Spencer, Iowa) The #9 ILCC Lakers hosted conference rival Indian Hills CC. The Lakers came into the game with an 8-game winning streak, Indian Hills with a 4-game winning streak.

 

The Lakers started the game flying, Sophomore Malik Smith opened the scoring with a great shot outside the Indian Hills box which beat the hills keeper. Assist from Connor Goldsworthy.

The Lakers would have numerous chances but could not seem to find the net.

The missed chances would come back to haunt the Lakers. With only six minutes remaining in regulation time. Indian Hills would even the score at 1-1.

Overtime would be required, and after two ten-minute overtime periods neither team would find the net.

The Lakers record moves to (9-1-1) on the season and 3-0-1 in conference play. The Lakers will travel to Iowa Western for a huge conference match this Wednesday, October 2nd. Kickoff 3pm.
