The Lakers hosted North Iowa Area Community College in a Region XI Conference match.
Jean-Mikael Tshibanda started off the scoring in the sixth minute, when Luan Cesar turned the NIACC defender and slotted the ball through. Ten minutes later Luan would add his name to the score sheet, when he received a pass from Jovoney Brown. Luan would score his second goal of the night just five minutes later. Luan received a pass inside the box from Jean-Mikael and bent his shot around the defender and off the far post into the back of the Trojan net. The Lakers would head into halftime up 3-0.
Six minutes into the second half Odal Brown would get his foot on the end of a Cameron Weston cross. Weston would convert a ILCC penalty kick in the 75th minute to put the score at 5-0. Ten minutes later Raz Levy would score the 6th and final goal from a Khalid Gelani pass. Final Score Lakers 6 NIACC 0. Region XI Goalie of the Week Josh Wilson with the shutout.
The Lakers move to 10-2-1 over all and 3-1-1 in conference play. The Lakers travel to Bettendorf, IA to take on Scott Community College this Saturday, October 12th . 3pm Kickoff.
