Lakers Place Six on ICCAC All-REGION TEAM

(SPENCER,IOWA) The Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer team placed six players on the ICCAC All Region Team. The Lakers had a great season with a (14-4-1) overall record and finished 3rd in the ICCAC regular season. The Lakers came up short in the Regional Final with a 1-0 loss to Marshalltown CC.

 

Sophomore's Jovoney Brown and Cameron Weston were named to the First Team All-Region honors. Jovoney scored nine goals in league play, and 18 overall. He also added three assists. Brown was also named ICCAC Player of The Year. Cameron Weston a defender, scored seven goals and added five assists, just two points shy (19) of his teammate Brown (21) for the team lead.

 

Sophomores Luto Tom and Iowa Lakes team captain Nathan Ndomba were named to the Second Team All-Region. Luto Tom played and started in 17 games for the Lakers this year and recorded (1) goal and (2) assists in conference with a total of (4) points. Tom had (3) goals and (5) assists overall on the season with (11) points. Nathan Ndomba Played in (18) games starting (17) and scored (1) goal for the Lakers this year, Ndomba was the Lakers top defender and backbone of the team this year.

 

 Sophomores Luan Cesar and Connor Goldsworthy were named Honorable Mention. Cesar tallied (6) goals and (7) assists for the Lakers this year with a total of (19) points. Luan was a dominate force in the Laker midfield.  Goldsworthy a second year started for the Lakers scored (4) goals and (9) assists on the year. The left footed Welshmen was a huge part of the Lakers defense and attack.
