Iowa Lakes Men’s Soccer Win Both Games at Iowa Western Invitational

              Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer Played two games in Council Bluffs over the weekend, continuing their strong start to their season. The Lakers faced off against Barton on Friday, Defeating the Cougars 2-1 after being down 0-1 in the second half. Sophomore Midfielder/Forward Leonardo Seixas chipped the goalkeeper in the 64th minute to tie the game. With five minutes left on the clock, freshman Forward Henry Tolbert's fantastic individual effort put the Lakers up 2-1 to see out the victory.

            With less than 24 hours of rest, The Lakers Men's Soccer team played against Jefferson on Saturday. Sophomore Fullback Logan Roach scored an absolute screamer from outside of the box to give Iowa Lakes the victory over the Vikings. Sophomore goalkeeper Dion Zhubi impressed between the sticks, giving the Lakers the clean sheet.

            With these two victories secured, The Lakers now hold a record of 3-1. For their next match, The Lakers head to Waterloo, IA this upcoming Wednesday, September 1st, to face off against Hawkeye Community College.
