Iowa Lakes Men’s Soccer Scores Double Digit Goals Against Scott

The Lakers Men's Soccer team faced off against Scott Community College on Saturday, scoring 11 goals against them. The action started in the 10th minute when Sofian Maghouz found the back of the net from an assist by Lewis Nohar. Sofian then found Henry Louko in the 22nd minute to make it 2-0. Lewis Nohar once again set up Sofian in the 27th minute for the third goal of the game. Jose-Miguel Boggio then opened his scoring account to the season, after Sofian Maghouz found him open at the top of the box. Lewis Nohar then got himself on the score sheet, converting a penalty in the 44th minute.

Iowa Lakes put out a completely different team for the second half, changing everyone but the goalkeeper, Dion Zhubi. Bryan Coss got the first goal of the half in the 54th minute from an assist by Leonardo Seixas. Coss then set up Jason Dyer for a goal in the 58th minute. Just two minutes later, Leonardo Seixas scored a goal set up by Baht Kin to make it 8-0 in the 60th minute. Jason Dyer then got his second goal of the game in the 77th minute from an assist by Seixas. Jorge Pena got on the score sheet as a center-back in the 80th minute, giving him his first goal of the season from an assist by Bryan Coss. Baht Khin then converted a chance set up by Jason Dyer in the 89th minute, to make it 11-0.

The Lakers now hold a record of 7-1 going into their final game before conference play kicks off. They will face Northeast Community College on Wednesday, September 15th at home in Spencer.
