Lakers Take Down The Warriors 2-1

Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer hosted Indian Hills on Saturday, winning 2-1. The first half saw no goals as The Lakers dominated possession and created several chances playing into a fierce wind. Iowa Lakes came out strong in the second half and continued to control the game.

Sofian Maghouz scored a brilliant goal when he struck the ball low and hard with precision from 30 yards out to find the bottom right corner of the goal.
Jason Dyer came off the bench to get his goal in the 71st minute when goalkeeper Taariq Ganga picked him out deep. Jason controlled the ball beautifully, taking on two defenders to create space for himself and then driving the ball low and hard past Warrior goalkeeper Matteo Scarduzio.

With many changes made to the Lakers lineup, Indian Hills were able to get on the scoresheet with 3 minutes remaining. Pablo Marquez found the net off a pass from Ronaldo Carvalho.

The Lakers now sit at an overall record of 13-1-1. #3 Iowa Lakes will face #2 Iowa Western next at home in Spencer on Saturday, October 16th at 3pm.
