Iowa Lakes defeat Central Community College 5-0 in Home Opener

Iowa Lakes celebrated their first home game of the season with a 5-0 win over Central Community College-Columbus on Saturday. Iowa Lakes opened the scoring in the 7th minute when Tatsuki Kobayashi beat his man down the flank and played the square ball across the box for Henry Tolbert to put away. Lewis Nohar then got on the scoresheet when Lewis Duncan set him up for the tap-in goal in the 26th minute. The third goal came from Tatsuki Kobayashi, striking a perfectly low driven ball from outside the box in the 52nd minute. Lewis Nohar got his second goal of the match in the 73rd minute from an absolutely superb strike, hitting the top corner of the goal from outside of the box. Jordan Corrieri then wrapped things up when he opened his scoring account to the season in the 82nd minute, beating the Central keeper to put the ball away. 

The Lakers next face Hawkeye Community College at home on Wednesday, August 31st, at 1 pm.
