Iowa Lakes Come Out With Blazing Start Against Hawkeye

The Lakers hosted Hawkeye Community college on Wednesday, beating the RedTails 3-0. The Lakers came out with a blazing start, with Jason Dyer playing the ball across the box for Henry Tolbert to put away in the third minute of the game. Then only one minute later, Jason Dyer got on the scoresheet himself, cutting the ball back to his left foot and finishing from inside the box. The RedTails were then awarded a penalty that was saved fantastically by Iowa Lakes goalkeeper Taariq Ganga. In the second half, Iowa Lakes were awarded a penalty themselves that Lewis Nohar neatly tucked away. The Lakers now go 4-0 on the season.

The Lakers leave for a road trip this weekend, playing Scott Community College in Bettendorf on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Southeastern Community College in West Burlington on Sunday at 1 p.m.
