Lakers Stumble In Ottumwa

Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer visited Indian Hills on Sunday, losing 3-1. In a match that The Lakers dominated in possession, shots, and chances created, they failed to find the back of the net and were punished on two defensive errors in the first half. Starting the second half down by two goals, Lewis Nohar bent the ball past the unaware Hills keeper to score from 35-yards out. Shortly after, another poor defensive error by an Iowa Lakes defender awarded Indian Hills a penalty kick that Daniele Verdirosi converted to give him the hat trick on the day.

The Lakers are now 8-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. They next face Iowa Central at home on Wednesday, September 28th at 1pm CST.
