Lakers Fight Back to Win 4-2 Over The Warriors

Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer hosted Indian Hills on Saturday for their second conference matchup of the season against The Warriors, winning 4-2. After a turbulent start which saw them down 0-2 at halftime, The Lakers showed great tenacity, team spirit, and resilience to fight their way back into the game. Two minutes into the second half, Jason Dyer set up Lewis Duncan for the tap-in goal to make it 1-2. Just minutes later, Lewis Duncan set up Viktor Villfoer for his close-range finish, making it 2-2. In the 63rd minute, Jason dyer found Lewis Duncan again, this time at the top of the box where he hit a wonder strike from 20-yards out that hand bend and swerve on it, finding the far top corner of the goal, making it 3-2. Five minutes later, Jason Dyer showcased his playmaking skills when he jumped over the keeper, who failed to maintain control of the ball, took it off of him, and found Aphelele Nzwanga in the box for the final goal of the game, making it 4-2.
Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer are now 11-4 on the season and 4-3 in conference play. The Lakers will travel to Council Bluffs to play Iowa Western on Wednesday, October 19th, for their final regular season conference matchup with a scheduled 1PM kickoff.
