Lakers Extend Winning Streak With Win Over Iowa Central

The Lakers extended their winning streak on Wednesday to 4-0 with a 2-0 over Iowa Central. Freshman Ian Campbell scored his fourth goal of his season just four minutes into his first start of the season off the assist from freshman Jeppe Toft-Hansen, who also impressed in his first of the season. With five minutes left in the second half, freshman Lander Gonzalez found the back of the net for his second goal of the season from a perfectly played pass by Francis Motsi. The Lakers continued to dominate the game in the second half but failed to find the back of the net.

The Lakers travel to Council Bluffs next on Saturday, September 2nd, where they will meet old foes Iowa Western, looking to extend their excellent start to the season with another win. The game is scheduled for 6pm CST but could be pushed back to later in the evening due to the expected extreme heat.
