(Spencer, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Athletics had one men's soccer player named ICCAC Athlete of the Week.

Division II Men's Soccer - Player

Philmour Virgo - Iowa Lakes - Sophomore - Forward

To close out the regular season Philmour Virgo scored a goal in a 6-1 victory for the Lakers over Western Iowa Tech. The goal contributions didn't stop there though, as in the Lakers first match of Region 11 Tournament play Virgo scored another and provided the assist on another. The Lakers are currently ranked #2 nationally and are 12-2-2 overall. Virgo will be hoping to continue his form as the Lakers face Marshalltown in the next round of the tournament. The goals and assists that Virgo has been providing may be needed as the Lakers beat Marshalltown in a close 2-1 win earlier this season. Whoever wins the match will move on to the Regional Championship game.
