Stith Breaks School Record at Roger Ahlman Invite

The Laker Men put on a show at the Roger Ahlman Invite at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. The guys were able to take 3rd beating Saint Mary's University who beat them earlier in the season. The meet started with diving with AJ Cervantes taking 4th in the 3 meter and 3rd in 1 meter. Teammate Eric Medina took 5th in 3 meter and 5th in the 1 meter. 

The swimmers started with the 200 medley relay which was just out-touched at the finish for a second place with the team of Lucas Stith, Hylton Collinson, Gabriel Carmona, and Parker Tompkins. Stith's first leg of the relay was just fast enough to break the school record in the 50 back. Stith would later go on to place first in the 200 back missing the school record by .66. He also took 1st in the 200IM and took 2nd in the 200 breast stroke, losing to teammate Collinson. Carmona and Tompkins were able to add to the Lakers with a fourth place and tenth place finish in the 200 breast stroke. Collinson, Carmona, and Tompkins also were able to take 1st, 2nd, and 6th in the 200 fly, respectivley.  Collinson and Carmona teamed up again in the 100 breast stroke with 1st and 3rd place finishes, while Tompkins took on the 400IM solo and finished third. 

The men ended the meet with the 400 free relay placing second. 

The Lakers head to the Luther Invite next. It is a two day meet starting friday night and will finish saturday night. 

They will be at home Jan. 6th against Iowa Central.
