Iowa Lakes Swimming & Diving Season Preview

(Emmetsburg, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College announced today that the Iowa Lakes Swimming & Diving team will begin its first year under the direction of the newly named head coach, Todd Peters. This year's team has a roster of twelve swimmers and one diver. Peters plans to build upon the success that the program had last season, with the men finishing tenth at nationals and the women finishing sixth.

The Iowa Lakes Swimming and Diving team has four returning sophomores; Meghan Harrison, Gabriela Reis, Gabriel Carmona and Sarah Reid. Reis and Carmona, will take on the role as team co-captains and will be relied upon to provide big performances both in the water and in leading the team.

The remaining portion of this year's roster is filled with nine incoming freshman. All swimmers have shown excellent progress in practice and are expected to deliver impressive results.   Key new swimmers to this year's roster are Kaitlynne Smith out of Shakopee, MN, Garrett Nielson out of LaBarge, WY, Lizandri Crewe-Brown out of South Africa.
