The Iowa Lakes Men took down Tabor College and fell to Midland University in a pair of duals at Fremont, Nebraska.  The Laker Men dominated Tabor, winning all but one event and sweeping both relays.  Midland won all the events against the Lakers, but the Laker men had strong second place performances in nearly every event.  Second place finishers included Ben Hehr in the 200 and 500 freestyles, Jake Bohnert in the 100 and 200 backstrokes, Patrick Voller in the 100 freestyle, and Randy Vaughan in the 200 breaststroke and 400 IM.  THe Iowa Lakes 400 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays were also second to Midland.

Event winners against Tabor included Jesse Lattin in the 1650 freestyles, Ben Hehr in the 200 and 500 freestyles, Jacob Bohnert in the 100 and 200 backstrokes, Randy Vaughan in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and 400 IM, Patrick Voller in the 50 and 100 freestyles, and Val Trussov in the 100 butterfly.

"Randy Vaughan had great performances, particularly at the end of the meet in the 200 breaststroke and the 400 IM. Then after a short break he had to hop up and lead off the 200 free relay. It was a bit much for him and I should have probably had him in the first relay instead.  Patrick Voller had some solid sprint events today with season bests in both the 100 freestyle and backstroke.  And Ben Hehr improves in his events every time he hits the water.  Every meet is really about getting us ready for the NJCAA National Meet at the end of the year and we discovered some strengths that will help us as we prepare for that meet." remarked Head Coach Todd Peters after the meet.

The Laker Men are now 2-2 on the year and will next enter the Morningside Invite on November 9.
