Iowa Lakes Community College Names Kaden Huntrods as the New Head Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach

Iowa Lakes Athletics Director Troy Larson is pleased to announce the hiring of new Head Men's & Women's Swimming Coach Kaden Huntrods. 

Most recently, Huntrods has been working as a graduate assistant coach for South Dakota State University's men's and women's swimming and diving program.  He has also coached at the club level with the Mitchell Aquatic Club in Mitchell, SD; the Madison Aquatic Swim Club in Madison, SD; and the Paso Robles Swim Team in Paso Robles, CA. 

Originally from Iowa, Huntrods has both competed and coached in Iowa, California, and South Dakota.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Dakota State University and earned his master's degree in Sport and Recreation Administration from South Dakota State University. 

Huntrods is eager to get started at Iowa Lakes, "I want to thank Troy Larson and the search committee for this great opportunity.  I am excited to begin working at Iowa Lakes with the great student-athletes studying and competing here.  After meeting with the student-athletes, athletic department, and many members of the Iowa Lakes team, you can feel the love and excitement for the program.  Every aspect of the college is determined to provide a quality experience and education for these student-athletes."
