Myah Ehlenfeldt to Play at Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach, Katie Larson, announced the signing of Myah Ehlenfeldt to the 2020-2021 recruiting class. Myah is the daughter of Eric & Michelle Ehlenfeldt and attends Cochran-Fountain City High School in Fountain City, Wisconsin.

"Myah is another outstanding athlete in our 2020 class." Commented Coach Larson. "She fits right into the type of student-athletes that we are trying to recruit into the program. She is a quality student, athlete, and a genuinely kind-hearted person."

Ehlenfeldt has seen great success both behind the plate in the catching position and also in the box. This past summer, she batted .475 with a .514 on base percentage. She had 29 hits, including eight doubles and three homeruns. She had an impressive .963 fielding percentage and caught 36% of runners stealing. Ehlenfeldt has been awarded Dairyland Academic All-Conference in her freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons.

Ehlenfedt had this to say about choosing Iowa Lakes, "I have been working for many years and practicing constantly just to be able to play college ball. When I visited Iowa Lakes, I knew it was where I wanted to go. The people there are so friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to start this new chapter of my life with them!"

In addition to softball, Ehlenfeldt lettered and earned a bar in her junior year for golf. She has also earned 4.0 scholar honors.

Coach Larson also had this to say, "We cannot wait to welcome Myah and her family to Iowa Lakes. Myah was a good high school player, but I believe her best softball is still in front of her. She loves the game and is like a sponge soaking up information that is given to her. She wants to be better and understands that to do that hard work needs to be put in. I cannot wait to work with her these next two years and see all that she can accomplish!"
