Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach, Katie Larson, announced the signing of Alison Narveson to the 2020-2021 recruiting class. Alison is the daughter of Mitch and Jen Narveson and Heidi Frankum and attends Pine Island High School in Pine Island, Minnesota. 

"We are very excited that Alison chose to be a Laker next year." Commented Coach Larson. "We will be graduating our entire outfield after this season, so we are looking for athletes that will be able to step in and make an immediate impact for us. We believe that Alison will do just that!"

Narveson, a two-year letter winner in softball, has found success on the softball diamond. She had a .305 batting average with 32 hits, including three doubles and one triple. She also has a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with eight outfield assists. In addition to softball, Alison is a six-year letter winner in bowling. She has been awarded both All-Conference and All-Honors in bowling.

Narveson had this to say about choosing Iowa Lakes, "I chose Iowa Lakes because coming from a small town, I thought it would be a good fit for me. When I went on my visit, I just felt so at home and very welcomed."

Coach Larson also had this to say, "Alison is going to be a great addition to our already strong recruiting class. She as the ability to be versatile both in the outfield and at the plate. Her speed will be a tremendous asset on the base paths and something that we really look for her to lead this team with. Alison is a quiet young lady; you can see her wheels turning. She is like a sponge trying to absorb as much information as she can to then apply to practice and her own personal advancement. We are very excited to see Alison in the blue and gold jersey next year!"
