Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Places 7th at the 2021 Collegiate Championship

In cool, windy conditions the Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting team broke 916x1000. The Iowa Lakes score was 10 targets under Southwestern Community College's score of 926 that took the 5th place trophy. There were 4 community colleges and two 4-year colleges that finished ahead of Iowa Lakes. William Penn was 1 target out of 1000 ahead of Iowa Lakes.  The Lakers were comprised of Kolby Kendall 189, Timothy Konfrst 187, Kadin Oettinger 182, Levin Aanonson 181, and Ariana Umscheid 177.

There were 140 collegiate athletes representing 11 community colleges and 5 four-year colleges.  All 11 schools from the  ICCAC competed on April 17 in the Collegiate Championship held in Ackley, IA. Iowa Western won the ICCAC Conference Trophy with 978x1000.

In the men's individual competition, Kolby Kendall's 189x200 was 28th out of 105 and Ariana Umscheid's 177x200 was 14th out of 35. In the 2nd round in the morning, the Lakers shot a near perfect score of 124x125. Timothy Konfrst had two 25x25's, Kaden Oettinger had one 25x25, Ariana Umscheid had one 25x25, and Kolby Kendall had one 25x25 and one 75x75.
