Two Lakers Named ICCAC Athletes of the Week

Kylie Kline - Iowa Lakes - Sophomore - Libero

Kylie Kline ended her career at Iowa Lakes with another outstanding defensive week. She averaged 5.52 digs per set, with a high of 6.6 per set in a five-set loss to Hawkeye in the Region 11-A semifinals. Currrently she is ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA in digs with 873 this season. She is second in the ICCAC and 24 in the NJCAA with 5.26 digs per set. And she also recorded her 2000th career dig last week against Dakota State JV. She ends her 106-match career with 2085 digs, 5.63 per set. Congratulations Kylie on an outstanding NJCAA career!

Wyatt Schwenaker - Iowa Lakes
Iowa Lakes won their head-to-head trap shoot last week -- 472-446 over Southwestern. The Lakers were led by the week's top shooter Wyatt Schwenaker, who knocked down 98 of 100 targets. It was the second time this season he has led the Lakers in a trap dual, first shooting a 96 back on Sept. 24 against Ellsworth. In three shoots where he has been in the team's top five, he is averaging 95 targets. Iowa Lakes is 3-2 in trap duals in 2022.
