Tristyn Dunivant Signs with Nebraska Christian College

Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball player, Tristyn Dunivant signed her letter of intent to continue her athletic career at Nebraska Christian College (NCC), an NCCAA Division I institution located in Papillion, NE. Tristyn will also continue pursuing her academic career in Human Development and Psychology at NCC.

Tristyn graduated in 2015 from Estrella Foothills High School located in Buckeye, AZ. While attending Estrella Foothills, Tristyn was named 1st Team All-Section, Honorable Mention All-State, held the highest shooting percentage in the conference and was named third in the division for rebounding. Tristyn was also on the Varsity Team for three years and named team captain her Senior year.

"I am very happy Tristyn decided to continue her education and basketball career at Nebraska Christian.  I think Coach Bloodworth and the basketball program will be a great fit for her. We thank Tristyn for all her hard work and everything she gave to the women's basketball program while at Iowa Lakes," said Coach Martin.

Dunivant had this to say about her collegiate career at Iowa Lakes, "Being given the opportunity to come to Iowa Lakes Community College from Arizona has provided me with several new life experiences. From living 24 hours away from home in a completely different state, to learning how to drive in the snow for the first time, and also all the challenges and victories that come with playing collegiate basketball. Since the first day I stepped foot on campus at Iowa Lakes, everyone has gone out of their way to make me feel so welcomed and like family. I have made some lifelong friends here but am extremely excited for my next two years of my collegiate career. If it weren't for the people at Iowa Lakes Community College, I wouldn't have this amazing opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at NCC."

Dunivant chose Nebraska Christian College because she loved the institution and campus. Dunivant said "I fell in love with everything there and especially the warm welcoming feeling I felt from everyone. I feel NCC is going to be a great fit for me and what I am looking to achieve both academically and athletically, I'm beyond excited for next year."

Coach Bloodworth had this to say about Dunivant, "I am so excited to have Tristyn join our program this Fall at NCC! She will be a great addition to our team as we work to build the program this year. Tristyn will not only be a huge asset on the court but she is also exactly the kind of player I'm looking for off the court as well. She is a great fit for both our team and school and I am so excited that she will join us as a future Sentinel!"
