Despite strong post play, the Lakers fall to Minnesota West 63-70. The Lakers were led by sophomore post players Lemia Ntor-Ue who recorded a double double with 23 points, 11 rebounds, while shooting 11-16 from the free throw line. Fellow post player Mia Wassink also tallied a double double with 10 points, 15 rebounds, with a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.

"Proud of our team's effort today against a very good Minnesota West team. I thought we defended really well and put ourselves in a position to win the game. I think we showed a lot of improvement on the defensive end and hope we can continue to build on that moving forward. It was great to get Mari back running our point guard position. We are still getting to know each other on the floor and will continue to gel," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.

The Lakers are 1-4 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.  The Lakers return to action on Tuesday, November 21st when they travel to Des Moines to take on Grandview JV at 5:00pm. The Lakers return to home on November 28th when they take on South Australia at 5:30pm.
