The Lakers fall at home to South Australia 55-78. The Lakers were led by Calynn Jackson with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Lemia Ntor-Ue added 11 points and rebounds. Marisela Perez added 8 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
"We competed tonight for three quarters. I thought we played a very good 2nd quarter and are showing spurts of how good this team can be. The challenge is to put together four quarters. We will continue to improve and keep working. Looking forward to seeing how this team responds this week," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 1-7 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers return to action this weekend when they travel to St. Paul, Minn., for two games. The Lakers will take on Bethel University on Friday, December 1 at 7:00pm and St. Thomas University on Saturday, December 2 at 12:00pm. The Lakers return to home on Monday, December 4 when they host Dakota Wesleyn JV at 5:30pm.
