Dakota Wesleyan tops Lakers

Dakota Wesleyan tops Lakers

The Lakers fall tonight to Dakota Wesleyan 61-70.  The Lakers were led by Lemia Ntor-Ue with 20 points, Mia Wassink added 13 points and Calynn Jackson added 10 points.

"I thought our kids played a very good 2nd half. We were down 20 at half and it would have been very easy for the team to give up. I thought they came out in the 2nd half and competed and played with a lot of energy. We outscored Dakota Wesleyan 45-34 in the 2nd half. The challenge for this team is putting together two of those halves. I look forward to us getting back to work and continuing to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.

The Lakers are 2-9 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.  The Lakers finish up the first semester with a game on the road at Marshalltown, December 13, 2017 at 5:30pm. The Lakers will return to play at home on January 5, 2018 vs Grandview JV at 5:30pm.
