The Lakers fall at home to Kirkwood 49-70. The Lakers were led by Lemia Ntor-ue with 16 points and Mia Wassink added 11 points.
"We struggled today on the offensive end. You have to give credit to Kirkwood's defense. I thought they disrupted our offense and forced us to take contested shots. I thought we improved on the defensive end. I thought our rotations and help side defense improved. We will build off of this game and continue to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 6-11 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Monday, January 22nd when they travel to Winnebago, Ne to take on Little Priest Tribal College at 5:30pm. The Lakers return home on Saturday, January 27th when they host Ellsworth at 1:00pm.
